What does my We Adore Him phone number do?
Each We Adore Him site is equipped with a special phone number that has superpowers.
Adorers can find your We Adore Him phone number on the Help page of your website.
It can send text messages from your site, such as commitment reminders, sub request invitations, bulk message alerts, special alerts just for admins, etc.
In can receive text messages from your adorers, such as responses to the above notifications, or to send an adorer their access code, in case they forgot it.
Here are some more examples:
When adorers receives a commitment reminder, if there's enough time for the automated system to find a sub, they can respond with "sub" to request a sub.
When adorers receives an invitation to be a sub, they can respond with "yes" to claim the sub request, or "no" to decline.
If your chapel requires an access code, adorers can send "code" or "access code" to receive a message containing their access code.
To completely opt out of receiving any text messages, adorers may send "stop". This prevents us from sending them any further text messages, but they can send "start" to opt back in. If adorers are having difficulty sending or receiving text messages from your We Adore Him phone number, have them send "start". They can also send "hi" for a simple validation that the site recognizes their phone number.
If the system doesn't understand an incoming text message, it will respond with something like "Sorry, we did not understand your message." At this time, these messages are not forwarded or transferred to admins.
It can make outgoing phone calls from your site, such as commitment reminders, sub request invitations, bulk message alerts, special alerts just for admins, etc. These are interactive and your adorers can press buttons on their phone to respond to these automated calls, or press "0" at anytime to be transferred to an adoration coordinator.
It can receive incoming phone calls from your adorers to hear their next adoration commitment, request a sub or get an update on an earlier sub request, respond to a sub request phone call that they missed, hear the last bulk message that they missed, or press "0" to be transferred to an adoration coordinator.
You can customize which phone number calls are transferred to on Admin » Settings » General. And yes, you can leave this field blank to disable this feature (though we recommend leaving it on).
