Assigning Substitute Requests
How do I assign a substitute request to another adorer?
When you've already found someone to cover an adoration date, administrators and captains can assign the substitute request to them directly, rather than waiting for the Substitute Finder.
From a Substitute Request
Go to Admin » Substitute Requests, click View on an open substitute request, and then click Assign someone. Choose an adorer or group from the list, and click Assign.
From an Adorer's Dashboard
If the adorer hasn't requested a substitute yet, visit their Dashboard page and click Assign next to the date they'll miss. Choose an adorer or group, and click Assign. This creates a substitute request and assigns it in one step.
Who Can Be Assigned
You can assign any adorer or group, other than blocked adorers and those who already have a commitment at the same time. They don't need to be a substitute, and assigning sets aside the hour's group restrictions and whether it needs a male adorer, for when an exception is warranted.
Finding Assigned Substitute Requests
At Admin » Substitute Requests, an assigned substitute request is labeled Assigned rather than Claimed, so you can tell at a glance whether an administrator or captain assigned it or an adorer claimed it. To see only assigned substitute requests, choose Assigned in the Status filter.
Inviting Instead
If you'd like someone to confirm first, click Invite someone on the open substitute request instead. They receive a substitute invitation and can claim the substitute request in the usual way.
