Group Restrictions

Can we limit who can sign up for specific hours?

Adoration coordinators sometimes need to restrict which adorers are allowed to sign up for specific hours.

For example:

  • If you require safe-environment training for overnight hours.
  • If only some adorers have permission to perform tasks in the chapel at specific hours.

Here's how to accomplish this:

  1. First, create a group and add adorers to it.
  2. Then, edit an hour on the Schedule, open the Advanced settings section, and set the Groups field.

Now, adoration commitments for the hour are limited to adorers in these groups.

The same is true when a substitute is needed for that hour. Only adorers in the specified groups receive substitute invitations, and only they can claim the substitute request, no matter how they sign up.

Please note: Administrators and captains can create adoration commitments on behalf of any adorer, regardless of the group restrictions. To test that these changes work, try it with a Test Adorer account.
