Store Your Kiosk's Guided Access Passcode

Many chapels track attendance with the Adoration Check-In Kiosk, a tablet near the chapel door where adorers and guests check in. During setup, you lock the tablet to the kiosk app so visitors can't wander off into other apps. On an iPad, that's Guided Access, and it's protected by a passcode.

That passcode usually lives in one person's memory. When the kiosk needs attention months later and that person isn't around, everyone is stuck. Now there's a better place to keep it.

A Shared Place to Write It Down

You can now store the Guided Access passcode right alongside your kiosk URL, login, and password, so any admin can look it up when the tablet needs a little care.

Save the passcode in the Guided Access passcode field at Admin » Settings » Attendance, in the Kiosk Installation section. It appears once the kiosk is enabled.

This field is purely a note for your admins. Storing the passcode here has no effect on how the kiosk behaves.

When You'll Reach for It

Restarting the tablet, reinstalling the web app, or troubleshooting a frozen screen all require exiting Guided Access first. Triple-click the Side or Home button, enter the passcode, and you're in.

A small addition, but one less detail to hunt down on a busy Sunday. God bless! 🙏
