When an adorer can't make their commitment, the Substitute Finder invites eligible substitutes one at a time until someone claims the request. Sometimes the hour already has adequate coverage, though, because other adorers are scheduled for that same time.
Administrators and captains can now close a substitute request in two new ways:
- Hour is covered, when the adorers already scheduled provide enough coverage. The search stops and the adorer is removed from the schedule for that one date.
- Adorer will attend, when they turn out to be able to keep their commitment after all.
To help you decide, an open request now shows an Other Scheduled Adorers section listing who else is scheduled for that hour, when each of them arrives, and how often they've kept their recent commitments.
It works beautifully alongside the substitute request approval workflow. With that enabled, every substitute request waits for your review before sending any substitute invitations.
