When an adorer can't make their commitment, the Substitute Finder invites eligible substitutes one at a time until someone accepts. Occasionally it works through the whole list and nobody is able to help.
Admins and captains can now resend a substitute request, sending one more nudge to everyone at once. Open an active request at Admin » Substitute Requests and click Resend. You'll see exactly who will be contacted before you confirm, including any eligible substitutes the Substitute Finder hasn't reached yet.
It's meant to be a nudge, not a nuisance, so substitutes who already declined are left alone, and each request can only be resent once.
We encourage you to use it sparingly. Adorers who are asked twice for every request learn to tune out the first ask, which is exactly what makes the Substitute Finder effective. Save the resend for the hours that truly need it. 🙏
