Awhile ago, we announced that hourly captains are notified of last-minute substitute requests. Today, we're taking this a step further.
There's now a dedicated admin notification for last-minute substitute requests: Last-minute substitute requested.
This separate notification allows administrators to be notified in a more urgent manner—for example, via text message—while keeping the regular Substitute is requested notification as an email.
To enable this notification, edit your adorer account and enable the Last-minute substitute requested admin notification. You can choose to receive it via email or text message.
Unlike most text message notifications, which are queued until the following morning to avoid waking people up overnight, these notifications are sent immediately—even in the middle of the night.
