Two Pages, One Complete Picture
We've reorganized the adoration schedule into two distinct pages, each serving a different purpose:
Schedule — Your new home page! This provides a single, comprehensive view of your adoration program's recurring availability and coverage. At a glance, you can see:
- General adoration availability
- Coverage from recurring adoration commitments
- Which hours need additional adorers
Calendar — The familiar week-by-week view you know and love (formerly called "Schedule"). Use this page for:
- Viewing adoration availability on specific dates
- Adoration commitment instances
- Substitute requests
- Visit history
Why This Change?
The new Schedule page makes it easier for new adorers to find the best hour to sign up for—one with the greatest impact on filling the schedule. For administrators and captains, it provides an instant overview of recurring coverage across your entire adoration program.
Think of it this way: Schedule shows what happens every week, while Calendar shows what happens on specific dates.
Smart Commitment Calculations
The new schedule page also intelligently handles biweekly and monthly commitments. For example, if one adorer has a biweekly commitment on odd weeks and another adorer has a biweekly commitment on even weeks, the Schedule page recognizes that as one fulfilled need. The same logic applies to monthly commitments—if the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th weeks of the month are all covered, that counts as one satisfied need.
Choose Your Home Page
Prefer the Calendar page as your landing page? No problem! Administrators can configure which page appears first when visiting the website.
Customize this setting with the Home page field at Admin » Settings » Schedule.
